Sidhu and Kanhu brothers, supported by Phulo and Jhano Murmu (sisters of Sidhu and Kanhu), led the rebellions in Rajmahal area where Santhals settled in 1770s-1780s, Damin-i-koh in Rajmahal foothills, and areas from Cuttack, Dhalbhum, Manbhum, Hazaribagh, and Midnapore.
