155. What is the jurisdiction of a Lok Adalat

A Lok Adalat has jurisdiction to determine and arrive at a compromise or settlement for:

1. Any case pending before any court.
2. Any matter falling within the jurisdiction of any court but not yet brought before it (pre-litigation stage).
