The composition of the NITI Aayog is as follows:
- Chairperson: The Prime Minister of India.
- Governing Council: Chief Ministers of all States, Chief Ministers of UTs with Legislatures, and Lt. Governors of other UTs.
- Regional Councils: Formed to address specific issues, convened by the Prime Minister, comprising Chief Ministers of States and Lt. Governors of UTs in the region, chaired by the Chairperson of NITI Aayog or nominee.
- Special Invitees: Experts, specialists, and practitioners nominated by the Prime Minister.
- Full-time Organisational Framework: Includes Vice-Chairperson, Full-time Members, Part-time Members, Ex-Officio Members, Chief Executive Officer, and Secretariat.
