The CAG makes an oath or affirmation to:
- Bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India.
- Uphold the sovereignty and integrity of India.
- Duly and faithfully perform duties without fear or favour, affection or ill-will.
- Uphold the Constitution and the laws.
